I forget how I stumbled upon the first article (I was searching for something), but as with most of these articles, I checked out the author’s other entries and found a stream of other things of note and interest.
So, for all you [Windows] SysAdmins out there, these may come in handy at some point, if you haven’t already mastered them:
Using Remote Storage To Extend Available Storage SpaceWorking with the Windows Server 2003 Volume Shadow Copy ServiceProfile and Folder Redirection in Windows Server 2003
These are all, obviously, from the same website: Windows Networking. I highly recommend them and the rest of their network (featuring a very helpful Exchange-centered site in particular).
Thanks,
The Profile and Folder Redirection would have been extremely helpful in my last job though.
Please try and keep up with where I am and provide solutions I need now… ;)
Oh, sincerest of apologies, Cal. Please, do let me know if you have any problems that I could potentially turn into blog entries (either helpful or rantish)…
At least your winking smilie works! ;)
Geez, that’s a pretty wide open offer…
:)
Actually this job I’m in now is very boring - everything by the book and follow the process. It does make life easy, but there is just no challenge to it.
I can feel my brain atrophying. Fortunately the contract ends in July, so hopefully I will find something more interesting.
