I still don’t have anything in particular I feel like blogging about, so I thought we’d mix it up a little.
What are your plans for this weekend? Anything special? Same old routine? Share your boring plans with us so we can feel a little better about our own pathetic lives!
shopping at staples :D
carolling at a nursing home :/
more homework than is religiously forgivable :(
Hmm… About my weekend, I have spent a whole week in South Africa visiting shopping malls buying clothes for the holidays. Now its time to go back to Mozambique. I will be leaving in a few hours and will be stuck in a car for about 6 hours.
The night will be fun, me and friends will gather at a social gathering place near the beach… I’ll get damn tired.
Sunday still needs to be planned, actually I never plan anything beforehand, life just goes…
My boring plans ought to make you feel “great” about your own pathetic lives.
My Friday night started at 11:30pm, working until 7:30am. From there, I’ll go home and sleep for 6 hours or so, then I get to go back to work at 3:00 Saturday afternoon. I won’t leave work until 7:30am on Sunday.
I’ll get home Sunday and crash until 3:00pm, or so. I have to watch Denver kick KC’s ass. After that, I get to go back to work again…
…”on the clock” for 32 hours out of the next 56. At least I don’t have to work during the game, this week.
I’m in Greenville this weekend so I’ll do my usual… Eat Thai Food at least once, go over to Kabob House to see the belly dancer, feign sickness sunday morning so I don’t have to go to church, stuff like that.
Yesterday I ventured to Orlando, FL, USA to do many things, including watch Aeonflux. I also ate at Pita Pit and found that pitas are very awesome to consume with your mouth.
Drove home today after crashing at a friend’s house, worked, the end.
To be cont’d?
Well the weekend has finished here (thank god!).
My parents are visiting from the other side of the country and so the wife and I ran them around town, listened to the same stories from them we heard last time we saw them, had them tell us how to treat our two year old, told us our 3 month old isn’t sleeping enough, tell us gas barbeques are no match for coal fired ones (we have a gas one and the roast was delicious thank you very much, even if they don’t want to admit it), tell us the same… oops already said that - help I’m turning into my parents!!!!
sorry - but you asked.
But now I’m back at work aaahhhhhh…..
Welp, now that the weekend’s pretty much wrapped up and mine was almost utterly useless and wasted, I don’t feel so bad after seeing that most of you probably didn’t accomplish any more than I did… :)
chrissy: Hope those old people didn’t smell too bad! ;)
Abdul: Sadly, I think you’ve won hands-down as the most productive one here. And only hands-down because we’re too lazy to raise them (after all, I’d hate to ruin such a wonderful laziness streak).
Tom: You still think you work less than I do? :) I’d hate working like that, if for no other reason than I’d have to keep up with what’s going on at two jobs… One is enough for me, thanks. You only lost the productivity race to Abdul because your kind of productivity just sounds… ikky…
Bill: Where do you eat Thai at? Only Thai place I know of off hand is the one on Pelham Road (right next to the library I think?)… Wait, there’s belly dancing in G’ville?! After a night of belly dancing goodness, I don’t doubt I’d be sick Sunday morning… Oh, and we still need to hook up for lunch one of these days, drop me an email…
Anony: Uhh, I’m almost afraid to ask what else you’d eat a pita with (if not your mouth)… I, for one, welcome our latest Hollywood hit - “American Pita”…
Cal: Ouch, rough… Reminds me of… well, every single one of my relatives. Our city Christmas parade is a big deal, and happened to be today… Since we live a block from the parade route, guess who got to host everyone for an afternoon? Reminds me why I want to move far far away. I thought Christmas was supposed to be a happy time… :\
Oh, but I did make it to Starbucks on Sunday afternoon and got me some delicious coffee goodness that I sipped whilst driving around in the rain (am I the only one that finds that oddly relaxing?). I guess I can’t write the entire weekend off as a loss, that’s more productive than I am a lot of week days…
…still at work. Okay, I guess I do work more “often” than you, but I can assure you that I work “less”.
Also, I think that drinking coffee while doing “anything” is relaxing.
I walk out of this post loud and proud :D
