As always, stupid people absolutely amaze me. Just when I think I’ve seen it all, someone finds a way to surprise me once again.
Take this for example… Multiple times now, I’ve had to go over to someone’s computer to fix something, which has involved a reboot. When I’m done, I stand next to them to ensure everything is working as intended. When the machine comes back up, it displays the typical login message: “Press Ctrl + Alt + Del to begin.” On most of our machines, we have the Novell client installed as well, which not only displays this message, but also includes huge pictures of buttons at the same time.
It never fails, when I least expect it, I stand there waiting for the computer to boot. As soon as this screen pops up, just like every other time they’ve started their computer in the last year, I get hit with the question: “What do I do?”
You’re being told flat out, in no uncertain terms, exactly what to do, and yet you have to ask the question of me ‘What do I do?” Does anyone else see a problem here?
